- ➤ Monte Alto mother San Juana Aguirre-Ochoa is thankful that donations to Tim's Coats, celebrating 43 years, will help her seven children get new jackets as winter nears. Funds are accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 10, with coats distributed by The Salvation Army + Catholic Charities. KRGV
- ➤ RGV Wings of Hope will host their 23rd annual Let's Get It On Golf tournament at Los Lagos Golf Course on Saturday, Dec. 13 beginning at 8:15 a.m. The event offers food, drinks, live music and raffles (call 956-520-1997 for info). KRGV

- ➤ Texas Comptroller’s Office says $125 million in unclaimed money is waiting for residents in Cameron & Hidalgo counties. A free claim event is scheduled on Thursday, Dec. 11 at the state comptroller’s office in McAllen from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help check and approve claims. KRGV
