Palm Valley Animal Society will hold its first low-cost spay and neuter clinic on Monday for pet owners in McAllen, Edinburg, Palmhurst and rural Hidalgo County.
The sold-out initiative will offer services starting at $65 for cats and $90 for small dogs — future clinics are planned monthly to meet demand.
The Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission needs 3,800 wreaths and volunteers for December 13's holiday ceremony to honor military heroes.
Only 561 wreaths have been sponsored so far—local support is needed to place each wreath at the graves.
