Texas Tropical Trail Region will host its 227th Partner Event on November 18 that starts at 9:30 a.m. at Rio Farms, Inc.—25601 FM 88 in Monte Alto—with tours featuring agricultural operations, a Delta Lake presentation, lunch at Hargill Tacos, and local landmark visits led by community leader Margie Pollock. The day will end with a board meeting open to all and participants will pay $30 to register while space is limited and carpooling is encouraged.
Edinburg native Raul Solis III completed STC’s Radiologic Technology program and accepted a night shift position at DHR Health to help meet local health care needs.
He earned degrees from STC and Texas A&M and is now building his career to support the Valley’s growing medical workforce—showing his commitment to his community.
South Texas College named Sharon O’Leary 2025 Faculty of the Year on November 6.
She began teaching in 1999 and founded the college’s music program, thanking her department chair for his support plus noting her commitment to guide students as the program expands.
