- ➤ The Hidalgo County Family Violence Task Force and District Attorney’s Office will host the 5th Annual Brides’ March on Oct. 25—starting at 8 a.m. at the Commissioners Court parking lot with a memorial walk beginning at 8:30 a.m.; participants are asked to wear bridal gowns or white and purple to honor domestic violence victims and promote awareness. - ➤ The City of Edinburg Cultural Arts Department will launch its 11th Annual Los Muertos Bailan Festival’s mariachi celebration, Canta Y No Llores, on October 24 at the Edinburg Arts, Culture and Events Center — the all-day event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature a Mariachi Vocal Masterclass at 10 a.m., a voice competition at 1 p.m., and an invitational showcase at 5 p.m. with food and artisan vendors lining McIntyre Street.
