HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Friday, two people with dementia who were reported missing in Hidalgo and Willacy counties were found, highlighting the risks faced by those with the condition. Licensed clinical social worker Bob Cooper from South Texas Health System advised that regular exercise and safety measures (such as notifying neighbors, using bright clothing, posting 'do not exit' signs, wearing medical bracelets or GPS trackers, and installing doorbell cameras) can help reduce wandering. REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Edinburg Economic Development Corporation and the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce held a groundbreaking ceremony for Plaza Guerlain at 2200 S. Raul Longoria Rd.—a new mixed-use project covering 15 acres near UTRGV’s Robert and Janet Vackar Stadium. The $50 million development is part of a 400-acre master-planned community and will start construction soon with businesses expected to open by next fall, creating nearly 200 local jobs.
