- ➤ Sisters Inspiring Success, Inc. will host the She Succeeds Job Fair at the Dustin Michael Sekula Library in Edinburg Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will offer professional clothing and tools to help unemployed women prepare for work. KRGV
- ➤ The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library in Edinburg will host Family Movie Day on Sunday, Sept. 28 with a free screening of Jurassic World Rebirth at 2 p.m.—families can sign up for a library card and enjoy complimentary snacks and a raffle giveaway. The Edinburg Advocate

- ➤ Edinburg ER nurse Javen Hinojosa was named a Top 20 finalist in the 2025 HeroesFIRST contest on September 24—he is the only South Texas nominee and is recognized for his life-saving CPR and positive care.
