CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Border Patrol agents raided a stash house in Edinburg Tuesday at about 5:25 p.m.— arresting four individuals, including two U.S. citizens and two Mexican nationals, for transporting and harboring 21 unlawful migrants. MyRGV.com
- ➤ Federal agents arrested four suspects in Edinburg, Donna, and Weslaco after they found two stash houses holding 24 undocumented immigrants—each is charged with harboring and transporting immigrants and could face up to 10 years in federal prison. KRGV
- ➤ Hidalgo police charged Eguaciso Luna Jr. with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault after he ran a red light and caused a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday at the intersection of Dicker—McColl that killed one man and injured two others while his bond was set at $350,000. KRGV

- ➤ More than 2,000 Rio Grande Valley students will benefit from five JET grants totaling $1,174,514 as TWC Commissioner Albert Treviño III presented the funds at Texas Southmost College on August 20—money that will upgrade technical training for healthcare and welding. Rio Grande Guardian
