Deputies with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office found an unidentified male with a gunshot wound to the head on the 4500 block of Fe Drive in rural Edinburg at 9:22 p.m. Sunday—his identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra said a homicide investigation was underway near Tower — Trenton roads in Alamo after deputies found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the head on Sunday night.
