- ➤ Authorities are investigating the death of 34-year-old Gonzalo Reyes Hernandez, who reportedly jumped fences and broke windows on Sigley Drive in Edinburg—witnesses said he repeatedly hit his head on a driveway and assaulted three deputies before he died en route to a hospital. KURV
- ➤ Kristian Valenzuela, Junior pleaded guilty yesterday in a Hidalgo County courtroom for his role in the murder of a Mission woman, admitting he helped cover up the death of Editza Gomez, aged 40, nearly two years ago—he will be sentenced in October. KURV
