The Garcia-Kalifa family is investing $1.6 million to convert a building on East Cano Street into Las Almas Food Hall, which will offer varied food choices (a coffee shop and full-service bar) and live entertainment, with the venue expected to open in the fall.
🎭 Culture
Edinburg will host the 12th Annual South Texas International Film Festival from Sept.
10-12 at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events Center (315 W. McIntyre St). The festival will showcase 31 independent films with premieres, red carpet events, a celebrity panel with Edward James Olmos, and pitch competition on Saturday.
