Cameron County approved a 95 percent tax abatement for Saronic Technologies to build a $3.2 billion shipyard at the Port of Brownsville under a 19-year deal — the project is expected to create up to 10,000 jobs by 2034 and source 35 percent of its workforce locally.

Commissioner Torres & community partners celebrated the completion of a new, safe, & affordable home built for Maria Ramos through the HOME Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program today in Edinburg.
