- ➤ Edinburg will host Texas Cook’Em: High Steaks in Edinburg on Friday, July 4 at Ebony Hills Golf Course with live music, family activities, a barbecue competition offering $12,500 cash prizes, and a patriotic Freedom Skydive Jump demonstration. - ➤ A man possibly under the influence of drugs fled police on Monday afternoon by climbing the roof of a home on Jackson Road and Carlos Drive after ignoring verbal commands while carrying what appeared to be a shovel or stick—officers have secured the scene. KRGV
- ➤ U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested six Mexican nationals at the Mercadome Flea Market and Alamo Dance Hall in Mission on Sunday—one individual was previously arrested for attempted capital murder in 2023 and all are suspected of being in the country illegally. KURV
