Roman Palomares, LULAC national president, visited San Benito in the Rio Grande Valley this week to speak with the Juan Rivera, Sr. and Veteran’s LULAC Council— he discussed the organization’s focus on protecting Latino communities and concerns about border security during an exclusive interview with the Rio Grande Guardian.

The City of Edinburg released its Summer 2025 Parks and Recreation Activity Guide that lists swimming lessons, youth sports, dance classes, art workshops, fitness sessions, and senior activities.

Many programs will begin in early June — the guide also provides registration details, fees, and locations for each event.
