A man died in a single-vehicle crash in Alamo when his car hit a pole on Sunday evening near FM-495 and Alamo Road — authorities are investigating the cause.

Mission Police Department is investigating two motorcycle crashes from Monday morning—one on Business 83 and Holland Avenue that injured a motorcyclist who later died and one on Glasscock and 2 ½ Mile roads that left another rider with non-life threatening injuries.

On Saturday afternoon, a crash on State Highway 107 near Alton injured 13 people when a Chevy Silverado hit a Range Rover near La Homa Road—twelve passengers on their way to a celebration were in the Silverado, and the driver was cited for driving without a license, speeding, and not using a child safety seat.

Edinburg saw a 2.62% increase in population from 2023 to 2024 and now ranks 25th among the fastest growing cities with more than 100,000 residents.
