- ➤ A two-vehicle crash near La Homa on Saturday at about 1:30 p.m. on State Highway 107 involved a Chevrolet Silverado and a Range Rover—13 people were injured with non-incapacitating injuries and the Silverado driver was cited for having no license, failing to control his speed and not using a child safety seat—local officials said. - ➤ A large crowd gathered at the Alamo Flea Market on Friday as local band Grupo Frontera filmed a music video — fans lined up for hours to join as extras. KRGV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ IDEA Public Schools will offer free summer breakfast and lunch to all children 18 and under at every Rio Grande Valley campus from Monday through July 31—meals must be eaten on campus. The program is open to any child regardless of enrollment and will operate on weekdays except on federal holidays. KRGV

- ➤ Port Director William Dietrich said Port of Brownsville leaders are using more data to guide decisions that help tenants, the market, and the community during the State of the Port Address at the Brownsville Events Center — new private investments are expected to boost local jobs and cargo growth.
