- ➤ The Edinburg Police Department is accepting applications for its 2026 Teen Police Academy for teens ages 14 to 17 who live in the city. The academy sessions run from 8 a.m. to noon on June 8-12 and June 15-19, with applications due by June 2. The Edinburg Advocate
- ➤ Second- and third-grade students from Sam Houston Elementary served as jurors in a mock trial at the Hidalgo County Courthouse on May 20, where Alexander 'Big Bad' Wolf was acquitted.
