Edinburg Economic Development Corporation teamed up with UTRGV and the City of Edinburg to launch Bank on INT!—a paid internship program that gives eight business students hands-on work at local banks.
The 10-week program runs from June 9 to August 22 and places students at Freedom Bank, Rio Bank, Texas National Bank, Lone Star National Bank, and Greater State Bank.

South Texas leaders are securing alternative water supplies as the Rio Grande runs dry—county officials and developers say projects like the Delta Regional Water Management Project and groundwater recycling will help sustain rapid growth in the area.
The efforts come as record low reservoir levels raise concerns that continued shortages could slow development and lead to higher water rates.
