- ➤ Edinburg CISD unveiled a historical marker at Stephen F. Austin Elementary School, the district’s oldest operating school built over 100 years ago — a four-year effort led by paraprofessional Julian Hernandez honors the school’s desegregation journey since 1961. KRGV
- ➤ Harvard-MIT student Anna Wadhwa encouraged over 5,000 high school students at STEM Nation 2026 Student Conference held at Bert Ogden Arena on May 12 to explore careers in STEM. - ➤ City officials advised residents and businesses between El Cibolo Rd and half a mile north of El Rucio Rd to boil tap water for at least two minutes after a water main break on Thursday evening + the boil water notice will remain in effect until repairs are complete. KRGV

- ➤ RGV Red Crowns players and mascot Rico visited pediatric patients at South Texas Health System Children's Hospital on Wednesday to unveil a jersey partnership featuring the hospital's logo. The team will start its season tomorrow at Harlingen Field when it faces the Central Texas Coyotes. KRGV
