- ➤ Federal agents raided the Arroyo Terminals facility in Rio Hondo on Wednesday during an investigation into fraudulent crude oil imports— the owner was indicted on April 17th for allegedly accepting nearly 3,000 shipments with false customs paperwork. KURV
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Industry leaders and South Texas officials met in Pharr yesterday and warned that tomato prices may jump 50% in July if the U.S. Commerce Department cancels a 2019 deal with Mexico— a move that could raise food costs statewide. KURV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, the state Senate accepted House amendments to Senate Bill 2 creating a school voucher program and sent it to Governor Greg Abbott for his signature — Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said school choice has come to Texas.
