Gonzalo Galvan Beltran was arrested by CBP officers at Hidalgo International Bridge on Tuesday after officers discovered he had an active warrant for aggravated kidnapping from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office; he was then turned over to local authorities and booked into jail.

Three UTRGV criminal justice students from Brownsville made history when they became the first all-female team to win first place in a pistol shooting contest at the ACJA national conference in Long Beach, California from March 30th to April 4th.
