  • The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation and Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library are hosting a Community Job Fair on Thursday, April 16 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the library so more than 37 employers can connect with job seekers for careers in healthcare, education and retail + other sectors.  The Edinburg Advocate

  • UTRGV professor Hudson DeYoe is studying South Bay’s flushing rate after SpaceX’s wastewater permit (pending TCEQ review) could affect seagrass vital for local fishing. Texas Parks and Wildlife may fund the study as environmental groups monitor potential nutrient impacts.  MyRGV.com

  • Channel 5 News is partnering with H-E-B & South Texas Health System to offer free glucose screenings and diabetes education throughout April in the Rio Grande Valley. H-E-B pharmacist Mario Solis demonstrated the quick, pain-free process to help raise awareness.  KRGV
