- ➤ Arlington opened the National Medal of Honor Museum on Tuesday, March 25 to share the stories of over 3,000 heroes, including four from the Rio Grande Valley. - ➤ Gov. Abbott declared a disaster for the Rio Grande Valley on Saturday after record rainfall from a severe thunderstorm led to widespread flooding that impacted homes, businesses and agriculture—covering Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy counties—while local officials reported three deaths during law enforcement efforts and began cleanup.
