- ➤ The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation is offering $10,000 reimbursement grants to local small businesses for facade and property improvements, with applications for the FLIP program opening on Monday, Mar. 23. Projects must be completed and verified before funds are provided. KRGV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UTRGV School of Medicine celebrated Match Day yesterday when 53 students opened envelopes at the Fieldhouse. Thirty-one students will remain in Texas (12 in the Valley) while others matched with residency programs in states such as Arizona and New York. KRGV
- ➤ Teach for America-RGV will celebrate 35 years in the Rio Grande Valley with an Honor Roll gala at Mission Event Center (in Mission) on Saturday, Mar. 28 at 6:30 p.m. The event will present awards to UTRGV President Guy Bailey, Harlingen CISD, and over 1,600 alumni. Rio Grande Guardian
