- ➤ On Feb. 25, immigration authorities detained teen members of the McAllen High School mariachi band along with their family while they followed routine check-in instructions; Antonio was released from the Raymondville center Monday & the rest remain at a facility in Dilley. KURV
- ➤ Starting April 1, Texas bans candy and sweetened drinks for SNAP recipients following a federal waiver and state legislature approval — Governor Abbott praised the change for aligning SNAP benefits with healthier options. KURV
