- ➤ Edinburg officials broke ground on a new $4.5 million park on South Chavez Road — between Betts Elementary and Esparza Elementary — that will serve as a school facility during weekdays and open as a community park after 4 p.m. once completed. KRGV
- ➤ Methodist Healthcare Ministries invites Rio Grande Valley residents to join free Community Keynote Conversations on the Blue Zones Ignite initiative today at Mission Event Center (12:00 p.m.) and at McAllen Convention Center (5:00 p.m.), and tomorrow at Pharr One Center (9:00 a.m.) and Edinburg Municipal Auditorium (1:00 p.m.). - ➤ Today, CIL Fresh held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new $33 million, 142,000 sqft distribution center in Pharr located at Las Milpas and S.-Veterans Road.
