- ➤ Salinas, president of Greater Brownsville Economic Development Corporation, said an Austin-based startup is planning a $3.2 billion military shipyard at the Port of Brownsville, with Cameron County set to consider tax abatements at a March 24 hearing as the project aims to generate billions in economic impact and new jobs.
