Edinburg CISD reported that Robert Vela High School and Longoria Middle School briefly locked down Monday, Feb.
2 after reports of a possible weapon; officials confirmed no weapon was found + classes resumed normally.
The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library released its free February children’s program schedule.
Events include Toddler Time Tuesdays at 10 a.m., Pre-School Story Time Fridays, Homeschool Hour Wednesdays, and Creature Club Thursdays at 6 p.m.—guest sessions on Feb. 5 add extra fun at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.
