- ➤ The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office will host a hiring event on Monday, Feb. 2 at Workforce Solutions at 2719 W. University Drive between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. It is part of RGV Operation Get Hired and offers positions for deputy sheriffs + nurses, detention officers, carpenters and maintenance workers.
