Edinburg will host the inaugural Navy Week from Jan.
24 to 31 with wreath-laying ceremonies honoring Sgt Alfredo 'Freddy' Gonzalez (Jan. 26 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.) and a Navy Band performance (Jan. 27, 6 p.m.) at community venues as part of a national outreach program.

14 (at McAllen Convention Center) that construction activity dropped 30 to 40 percent as reduced workforces halted some deals.
